Leroy Thorpe talked to the select board and decided to have the garbage cans taken away from the playground and the beach and he put a notice in the Monterey News. There was concern from the other members that this was done without discussion of the entire board and went against our May 2004 decision. It was agreed by the board to try it out to see if “bring it in, take it out” works until the end of June and we’ll discuss this again at the July meeting.
